Default radio help please

Hi all..... Hope someone can help i would like the use my lama sr radio on both my lama and cx do i need to do anything other than change the crystals they are both 4 ch 72 MGZ.

You can change the crystal in the CX receiver to match the same channel as the one in the Lama SR transmitter. Make sure they are compatible with each other.

What you can't do is to change the crystal in the transmitter. It is against FCC rules.

Hi Phil,
It will work as Qban said, but it might not if the shift is different between the two radios. JR and airtronics are Negative shift, and Futaba and Hitec are positive shift. Give it a try, but if it doesn't work this is why. I am not sure what shift the lama is (pos/neg) I hope it works for you. Please let us know for future reference.

I fly my XRB Lama with my Optic 6 on neg. shift. I even use a GWS Crystal in the Lama RX so I don't have to mess with my spectra module.

I think the BCX is negative shift as well. You should be good to go Phil.

thank you everyone for the help im gonna give it a try it just seems that i get about 3 flights out of the BCX radio and the batt. start for loose power where as the lama radio seems to fo forever had it six months and only changed the batts. about 3x's i fly it almost every night.
