Default Warm running Fiagio motors?

I have a question for you Faigio motor users. Iím building a small home built pushy-cat 22Ē WS, and an AUW of ~7.5oz. Iíve chosen the Faigio 12 X 30, 4100kv motor, a 3cell 480mah 10c LiPo battery & a GWS 3 X 3 prop to power it up. In testing and wiring it up, Iíve run the motor and prop up while holding the motor in my hands. The motor gets pretty warm quite quickly even with the small prop. My question is, do these little motors run on the warm side? I havenít had the chance to make some adapters to run the power system through my wattmeter and check the amp draw. I believe the spec on the 4100kv motor is 50watts max. Moto calc predicts ~4amps with a 3cell LiPo and 3 X 3 prop. Should be within the motors' capabilities as long as WOT isn't continuously used. Any info is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

IIRC, you should be running the 3x2, not the 3x3 on a 3S lipo with that motor. Definitely check it against the wattmeter before you put too much more runtime on that motor.

Thanks for the input. I'll get the adapters made up and run it through the watt meter. Happy flying!
