Thumbs up

Hey Bob, my motto (and Renegade bylaw #2-sec.4 part B ) when it comes to RC is why reinvent the wheel if you don't have to........we're all sponges when it comes to a fellow flyer with a good flying plane.....hehehe, you hear a lot of "...how'd you set that up to fly so well??"

We share everything.......example is Al comes to my house and leaves with a Lynx & motor...LOL.

You work on the C-47s today Steve? And yes you have come up with awesome setups on projects too. Rather than tell someone how great they are I would rather let the proof be in pudding and the performing. Or the video ,,,, LOL heres a video of a 100 mph Illusion Good job on the set up http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-xm0uOVK4Y

Got the Lynx all ready to fly tomorrow Ray ,, Thanks again. Gonna try a 800ma 3s and a 1000 ma 3s to keep it on it's toes. The J S powered fan that tested tremendously in your shop now seems to have a timing problem after installed in the plane. I'm gonna try that Rx you use for testing before I remove it and if it runs great on your Rx I'll have 2 DX6Is , a DX6 and 7 or 8 various Spectrum Rxes for sale. I don't see why a radio change should affect the performance of a Fan Motor with the same ESC but if it does I've spent the last $ I'm gonna on Spectrum DSM2 technology.

Beno hadn't been here in over a year. And I seem to remember you caused trouble. Grown up some since then?

I will be there tomorrow with another cool pusher jet twin XB-70 Valkerie. Looking forward to seeing the Lynx Al. Maybe we can get some side by side action in I would love to see Jessie's Illusion too! Maybe I will bring out my Baby one day? My F-104 pusher But I'm afraid to land it there

ya chong, way to go w/ the a123 packs.
where’d u get em? radical rc had the best prices i could find for assembled packs.

after ejecting my battery i realized that i need some redundancy built in.

to bad about the spit.
try one of those capacitors for the Rx. they might help a bit.

Heya.. I actually got one rx pack from hobbypartz for now so I could fly with it this weekend and ordered three of the 1100mah packs from radical (plus some other cool stuff from their site) which I think will get here next week.

Yeah.. it's a bummer.. ! This last signal loss just really got to me which usually doesn't happen... hopefully this will solve it.

As for the cap I may get one or just pick one up at the electronics store since it's probably the exact same thing for 1/10th less.. but I always thought that was for Rc cars due to grounding or static discharge..

Sure, glad you can use it Would be awesome to see the both of them going together! (yours and Bob's). I'm not going anywhere tomorrow so if you wanna test your set up again then gimme a call......OR take the test RX and radio with you and test at home....either way

The capacitor for the cars (for us back in the day, at least....'85-'92) was to squelch any "noise" coming from the brushed motors we ran. We actually ran two, one on each motor lead.
The reason for the Spektrum capacitors being plugged into the RX's is to assist in keeping the voltage from sagging at the RX......the cap holds onto a slight amount of ESC-BEC power and will release it into the RX IF needed, hopefully covering a "hole" for a split second and averting a Brown-out.

Why I know this DSM stuff I don't know.....I guess WF is rubbing off on me! HA.
