Temp 16deg F
Wind 6mph
Not too bad so i flew this morning. First i tryed to fly the Dykes Delta and she
spun out to the left and crashed in the snow. Not too much damage except i
will have to remount the motor.
Next i took the Palama Bipe out for a nice fly and landing.
It is a very nice flying plane capable of all the basic aerobatic maneuvers.
Now we are getting some fresh snow again.

.

It's been too cold and way too windy.
Now it's too cold and way too windy and we have snow.

Nope, no flying weather around here.

I ordered some simulator cables but they are taking forever to ship.

Next best thing? Finishing the 4 wheel steering mod on the Wheely King and doing some dounuts

Temp. -C
Winds light
Sky grey-black looks like snow again
Odd light flurry coming down.
River is solid to at least 1 foot ice or more

I just walked out to see if OK ... so now charging batts for flying ... have Polaris all ready to go ...

Should make life interesting for Ice Fisherman out there !!

Here you go ....

I had 4 batts ... but hands were cold after first flight and with that grey sky - made seeing model orientation difficult. So called it quits after 1 batt.

Hope to do some more tmrw ...

Well, we'll be in the mid 60s today! Problem is, those 15-20 MPH wind gusts.

Well with the storms winds and temps up in positives ... all hells breaking loose on the river ...............

Here's view from my balcony today :

Ice is breaking up with extreme force and carrying all sorts of manner from shore ...

The 'clear bit' is still solid ice ... not water as it seems to appear as ...

My Pontoon has finally said 'enough' ...

My flying days of the river are now curtailed until all ice has gone ... and judging by the above ... its going to be some time yet !

For anyone interested ... the ice thickness is average 40cms ... ~16ins .... but the force of ice from upriver of greater thickness is causing the break up ... reports of 100cm thickness !

Temp in the 30s
Wind about 4mph
Good enough
Flew 3 airplanes this morning.
Everything here in my yard is frozen for landing.
But it is rough due to truck tracks.
Had a little damage to 2 planes but nothing serious.
Have a good one.

Temps in the 60s, very light wind, partly cloudy skies. Ran two battery packs each through the Snafuey II and the Tigercub. The Tigercub is definitely a fun plane, and gets a lot of semi-confused looks at the field. In the air it looks just like a Tiger 2, but then it lands and everyone realizes it's too small.

It's one of the reasons we moved here from Massachusetts! I have to say, South Carolina is beautiful.

Windchill this morning about 1deg.
Not too inviting although by the time it gets daylight that could change.
Undecided!

It was calm this morning so i flew the Pulama Bipe and had a real nice flight except for one thing. I tryed something unusual and wound up in a tree.
I managed to get it down with my pole i keep for that purpose and have it all
repaired again now. Got to watch them Jackpines, they sure are sneaky.
