Crash trees are the arch nemesis of planes! Funny I went flying yesterday where I lost my first plane to the tall pines. After all these years of flying I didn't even go near those pines. All I could think about was my plane that stayed stuck in that tree for ever.

Sorry about your loss Gramps! Those pines are really sneaky!
Over the years i have cleared my area of more than a few of those Jack's
There are still plenty of them here though and i am sure to be bitten again.
Have a good one Gramps

Come out here to Kansas. Anyone know how we judge the wind here in Kansas We first take a 15 foot steel pole. pound it into the frozen ground. Then hang a 12 foot 3/8 in. log chain from the top of pole. When the LAST LINK , is standing straight out. We can tell that the WIND IS STARTING TO BLOW.

By the time it gets light out i am sure the wind will be up and we will have the windchill factor. Looks like i might stay in this morning.

Had a great day out today ...

Flew the Hummer till I was tired of looking at it !! All ready for tomorrow.

Polaris decided to have one of its off days and not want to play ... minor damage .. nothing to worry about. Fixed ready for tomorrow.

My F15 Tractor flew a beaut .. but need to change the too flexi control rods as in hard turns she was mushy and needed care. But success !! Will swap out for CF combo rods ... ready for tomorrow.

EE Lightning had an aileron failure BEFORE launch .. so she's fixed back at home ready for tomorrow.

PA Mini Katana ... well this never was a nice machine to be honest but she had a wayward CoG today made her hard to handle. Cracked UC mount as usual .. be ready for tomorrow.

But yes a good day and I have plenty vids of each ...

Not exactly flying weather. I tried to walk my dogs, but turned around when the windchill was downright dangerous. And I'm *Swedish* !!!
