This model was designed by Jim Lohse from Washington State. It was a prototype for a full scale project. It is originally named the "Captain". The pic with Jim holding the fuselage is of a larger version of the "Captain" that wasn't built as of yet.

I know Jim and I don't think he knows of his idea being manufactured at this time.

Here are some pics from the 2004 RAMS Fly In in Sumner Washington where I first met Jim and his "Captain".

Hey Rudderman,
WOW, what a beautiful model and design.
Sure wish I could film it in operation.
What did Jim use for motor?
Any more information would be appreciated and thanks a lot for the photos.

Don,
Unfortunately I don't know what Jim had in his prototype. I'll call him and see if he will chime in on this thread.

Look on the SIG site. Sea Eagle.

RC System Sea Eagle aRTF Amphibian An electric powered airplane that can land on water, grass, snow or paved runways. The outstanding appearance of the Sea Eagle honors names like Dornier, Grumman and Sunders, the pioneers of flying boats.
The Sea Eagle is highly prefabricated so you get in the air quickly.
