5 simple things to remember when you show up for the first time.

1. All other activities use toys. Ours are serious pieces of state of the art hardware.

2. Whoever has the most expensive toy... er, hardware is always right, is allowed to break any and all rules, knows everything about everything, and you must get him/her coffee.

3. No matter what you're background is you know nothing. You could have 5 PHDs in rocket science, thermo dynamics, etc but until the required hazing period is over you know nothing. Sit down over there, n00b.

4. Our hobby is the most dangerous of all. Your last hobby could have been naked shark wrestling with knifes taped to your forehead but that's still not as dangerous as our sport.

5. No matter how much time you put into safety somebody will yell at you to stop screwing around. Usually the guy from item #2. Why didn't you read the 10,284,634,230 page rule book, n00b?
