The MM hasn't eaten foam on me yet. I'd be afraid to try anything else. My planes are all in my gallery here. There's a icon under each user's posts that takes you to their gallery, granted they have pictures in it.

I finally got out to maiden this Easytiger F-22 this morning. I put 4 flights on it, and I am pleasantly surprised at what a great flying airplane this is! I am using Flightmax 4s2200 and Xcite 4s2200 lipos, and go about 4 minutes of full throttle aggressive flying before bringing it in for landing. Top speed is pretty good, and it slows down very nicely for landing. Overall a very good first impression!

Default Mine was bashed in shipping, too. Paint that matches?

Mine was bashed in shipping a little worse. The manufacturer needs to
actually put some protection in there for the aft end of the airplane!

I got back to working on it today. Straightened out the foam using some
clamps and sticks. Used carbon splints to strengthen it. Used a toothpick
to make the hole for the carbon rod. Slathered it with foam safe to fill
the cracks in the foam and to strengthen the broken foam.

Does anyone know a paint that is a good match for the grey paint?

Thanks,
Chris Shaker

I had a friend do the cockpit and it looks sweet I will post some photos of it when it is done. Here is the damage and what it looked like right out of the box. And the plane is mde by a company called ling lang models from china, I am not shure if I spelled that right Dah!!!!!!!!!!

Chris, I mixed up black and white into grey until I came to a close match. Got the paint in crafts at Wal-Mart.

Guess I'll try mixing up my own too. I assume you used acrylic paint?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, water based craft paint. It dries to a different color so it took a bit of experimenting.

Gents,

If you read further through the forum, you'll find EasyTiger is permanently banned. Enough said.

Default I'm tired of dealing with sending broken stuff back

I'm tired of dealing with the hassle of sending broken stuff back. Got no email response when I sent in pictures of the damage. I've not ordered anything further from the site, even though the giant scale bird dog looks interesting.

CJShaker,

I understand your frustration. It is a real bummer when you don't get what you paid for, or believed you paid for, then the seller doesn't pack it properly. I can break planes without them being pre-broken by poor shipping.

I had a incident recently. I purchased a model from a 'drop shipper'. It didn't work as advertised. I contacted the legitimate distributor for the product. He provided superb service and a coureous attitude. He did what he could to solve my problems. AT his expense and he didn't even sell the original plane. He just wants his products to have a good name in the market. THAT IS WHO YOU WANT TO DEAL WITH. QUALITY DEALERS!!!! He has all my future business!!!

Default Found paint that is pretty close

I'll answer my own question. Testors Spray Enamel #1233, Flat
Light Aircraft Grey is pretty close. Just a touch darker, but many
people will not notice.

Default Color is 'greener', CG location, radio setup?

After that paint dries, it is 'greener' than the greys on the F22.

I've got my radio setup for the F22. I went with the conventional
two aileron servo, two ailevator setup on my 12FG. Has anyone
else done that, or do people just use the y cables and elevon
radio setup?

With the battery that easytiger sells, the CG is quite a bit aft of where the manual says, 66 CM back from the nose. Did anyone else find that, too?

Where did you set your CG?

Thank you,
Chris Shaker

Chris, I added a little bit of weight so the CG was spot on to the manual and it flew well like that. Personally don't like tail heavy planes!

I found this plane to be it so slow it couldn't get out of it's own way. And ther sevo's are junk right out of the box!!!!!!! And speaking of out of the box mine came with the tail all smahed up on both corners. Ask if this could be taken care of andd the reply was don't like it then send it back. Most sellers would say oh sorry about the problem I will take care of it right now. And then ask what you would like to do. I found this plane to be very slow. And a little to costly. If you would like to buy good foam jet's may I say one thing RC LANDER. They send the planes out so well wraped and packed in the box theis not even a scratch.

I thought I would show off some of my F-22 EasyTiger videos. Love my F-22!

I love my F-35 w/ retracts even more.
