A new one to maiden and 2 batteries to fly that F-16 that's been on the shelf
Cool Deal, Tell James He rocks...

Careful, that plane @5lbs has a lot of wing loading (my calc shows over 25oz sq in) and although it would penetrate the breeze well at that weighting, landing may be something else...LOL.

BTW.....the markings on that plane are true scale Korean War, squadron unknown but always a trainer......no guns haha

you're gonna have lots to look at @ RCX
It sure is a nice looking plane huh? I did read through the build thread and yes.. it seems like it's a handful to fly. I'm looking forward to it though!

I actually wanted to get my zero up first but then i saw this..

Geez.. I know some of you can handle that but I sure can't!

At least the Texan has flaps and isn't nearly as heavy as the zero or spit. I will step into this on slowly though.. more practice.. practice practice on my heavy foamy warbirds! If I don't think I'm ready I won't risk it and bash my cheapies first. But that won't stop me from having someone maiden it. It needs to fly.

Hmm.. I think the F117, F35 and Zero need to be retired soon. I need the electronics for my other kits anyway. I mean.. we do eventually trash these once in awhile.. don't we?

Who's excited for RCX?? How much money should I bring??!

Got my brakes stopping me with Rays help..., Then Steve and I went to I E field. The regulars were leaving cuz they said it was too windy...LOL So we flew the Mig ( 2 batteries ) and Steve flew his P-51. I couldn't fly the Diamante cuz I broke the wing bolt yesterday and the replacement I bought was too big. So we went by Pegasus and I got the right size blind nut for the wing bolt ... Came to my house and installed the Turnigy EDF motor in the F-86. The adaptor that came with the $8. fan doesn't fit any of the shafts for the Turnigy motor WTF... But i was able to find one that fit. But those fans wont fit the E Flight EDF motor. So Chong,,, If Ultimate Hobbies Have a E Flight Delta 480 fan I still need one ....

I actually bought them from WHolesaletrains.com. Tomorrow is the 20th so they should be shipping anytime now.

I'm boycotting Ultimate Hobbies.. until i need more Testor's spray paint ($3.80 a can!)

Since we're hitting RCX tomorrow afternoon are we meeting at IE at 6am?

The fan blade that broke was a $8. H K fan that goes with the Turnigy EDF motor. ( 4000 Kv) Steve tightened it with a good allen screwdriver and it still came loose. I'm gonna grind a flat in the shaft and use lock tight on the 2nd one . Thank god we ordered 2. The motor seems very THRUSTY on 3 cells.

Nice plane Corry ,,, Can't say I remember Victory Stripes on a F-86. LOL But that John Glen Saber is a cool plane. You gonna take it to Ca. Jets next week? Steve the shaft we used did have a flat but the fan still came off.

Just more learning for me really....hehe, I usually DO NOT do brakes 'cause I would rather have a shop handle it for safety sake. As life goes recently though, I've been in a position to have to (low on funds ) do the brakes on my van AND help Al with his adjustment and bleed.
If things don't improve I may be doing more for side work!

Steve the set screw on that fan adaptor didn't tighten properly cuz it hit a rough spot in the aluminum tapped hole that felt like it tightened. I hope I got it right now , I used a different adaptor.

Al and I went out earlier in the day to fly and it was pretty windy... after we left... I went to Cory's to fix some computer stuff...

Ryan called me up while I was at Cory's House, and wanted to go flying... but since I was busy, I had to decline... Unfortunately, Ryan and His Uncle went out flying by themselves... it was too windy and not good flying for someone with their skill level, and I'm sure it must have been windy'r by the time they got out there...

after awhile we went to pegasus to get a couple parts for Cory's rc car. that's when Ryan Calls me up and says to wait there so he can come over... (at this time I'm guessing something is broken) he asked if they had a nose gear arm for the Apprentice....

When He got to pegasus, I found out that he had stripped out the screw on the arm for the Apprentice... but that's not the bad news... His uncle got caught off gaurd by the wind (my assumption) and couldn't get the 500 helicopter back down... He ended up crashing... (he said he got confuse with all the switches...) ... I don't think he understands what throttle cut is for.....

He First asked if I could write down all the parts he would need to fix it... then Asked me If I could fix it for him...

There was extensive damage done... even the frames were cracked... (big expense).... I told him I'd have to fix it right and take that darn Co-pilot thing off (it wasn't working right anyways..) and that all the repair's and resetup would prob take me about 10 hours.... and that I would charge him $15hr.... if he wanted me to do it... (I'm done fixing heli's for free...LOL)

So... He didn't seem to like that idea, so he decided he would try to fix it himself.... LOL

neither I nor Cory Think He has enough knowlege about heli's to fix it, and he will prob take half of it apart before figureing that out that it's out of his league... oh well...
