Default efflux RC....CNC alum EDFs, WM 400 EDFs, Jets, Motors and more!!

Hi guys,

We just got on board here at Wattflyer to share some of our products with ya.
As the original importer (since August 2009) of 70, 90 100, and 120mm CNC alum EDFs, we are finding that they are becoming increasing popular. The Alum housing is the reason we were origanally drawn to these units. The housings are 100% alum. They are quite rigid and are best known for thier excellent heat sinking. capability. We suggest the use of of a qualty inrunner motor.
During the 9 months that we have carried the product, we have worked with the manufacter to improve the product. The units now feature an aluminum spinner on all models, and an opening in the motor fairing/heat sink to facilite flow thru ventillation for the motor. There is also a carbon composite rotor to be released for production later this year. During this time we have been installing rotors from various mfgrs for our high power needs. Schuebeler, (70 and 90mm) and 5 bladed rotorsare also available. The 8 blade 70mm rotor has been teseted by us to 1200+w (unbalanced) The 7 blade, 90mm rotor and sound very turbine like in ou F-86. (3000+watts)
Here's a couple of our videos:

90mm F-86 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LYn3pQQct4

70mm F-16 http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LYn3pQQct4

I'll be posting more info and videos in the next few days.
Please browse our growing line products at: www.effluxrc.com
We ALWAYS offer great prices, quality products, and friendly service.

Thanks, Gary - efflux RC

Gary,

It was nice seeing you and Cory again this weekend! Those units look really cool. I may have to get a 70mm unit to stuff in my Phase3 F-16 bare kit and use Rodger's fiberglass package. Should really haul the mail!

I was impressed with the sound and flight of Corrys F-86, and it was great to meet Gary in person and put a face to "One Six Right". I knew you were there cuz the Monster logo on your F-15

I don't see anything on your site for the Tigershark. what are the specs on this plane? what size packs does it take and more importantly, how much?

Rich,

I think Gary still needs to add them to the site. Based on his post above, should be sometime this week.

Gary,

What motor are you running in the Phase 3 F-16? Is it the ARC 28-47-1?

Welcome to the group Efflux!

Got a question for ya. How much does the 70mm weigh in comparison to the wemo setup and the rclander setup? Sorry if this has been asked before. :o

LuvE in Jag drag,

Hey Rich...We just got them in yesterday. Here's some quick info. I have seen these jets fly, and they are wicked fast!
Here's some specs from the box. as we have not built one yet.
  • wingspan: 540mm
  • wing area: 12.7 cm2
  • lengh: 800 mm
  • wt. ready to fly: 400g
  • flight controls: elevons
  • power: 6 blade EDF(included)...400 motor (NOT incl.)
  • ESC req'd: 12v, 25A
  • Lipo req'd: 11.1v 1600-200 mAh
Most folks run an aftermarket 60-64 mm fan.
the WM300 mkII the we offer would be perfect without to much work.
In the phot below. the thrust tube of the fan unit needs to have the molding flange removed prior to installation. (as in all cases with this fan)
We are offering the Tiger Shark for $65 (Including a one piece Carbon Fiber tube spar) + shipping.
they are not on the website yet. Please email us if you would like one, or a special price for a combo. [email protected]
Good motors would be:
MEGA 16/25/1.......4800kv
MEGA 16/25/1.5R ..3750kv
ARC 28-47-1.........4250kv

I'm also working on getting the Hoffman Mighty Might motors. Reply times from them is good as they are only 25 minutes from our location.

The Black and orange one? it has a Skyworld 3600KV motor in it. but we no longer carry the skyworl dmotors.
You could run a MEGA 16/25/1.5R (3750kv)on 4s, or an ARC 28-58-1 (3180kv) on 5s.
You could also run an ARC 28/47-1 (4250kv) if you balance the rotor.

Thanks for the wecome.
The Skyworld 70mm Alum EDF weighed as other EDFs are configured, is 78g. If you add the thrust cone (not required) and the Heat sink/fairing (not required) the total weight is 110g.
I don't know what the Lander weighs. OR the WeMo, but we will be getting the WeMos soon.
Hope that helps.
