Can you link me to the article? I can put it in PDF for the website if it has not been done yet.

We had our first system malfunction. The CC Pixie 20P let out the magic smoke for Dave B (pilot #5). Dave will be going by his LHS tomorrow for replacement parts.

I wish I had one Dave, but our paper doesn't have an online version like others have. They just do "teaser" stories so you will subscribe or buy the paper. Sorry.

Since I'm, ahem, "medically retired", I'll go out on a limb here.
If you have a news article done about WAA-08 and you do not have a scanner or other means to display it, send me a PM or e-mail and I will give you my address. Mail me the article, I will scan it and e-mail you back the scan, as well as submit it to the WAA website for you. I'll then mail back your original.

Bummer! I have one here but it is about 4 years old. I always thought the Pixies were just about bullet proof.

I think its important to preserve all the historical information at one place. Hopefully everyone submits their newspaper articles.

One of these days I'll get mine scanned. I'll have to ask Walter to post something on our web site about publicity links/articles.

Marty from RedneckRC, one of our sponsors, is going to be sending a CC Pixie 20P to our Greg S (pilot #10) for free. Thanks Marty! We will arrange to have the bad one sent back to CC and have it replaced. Dave B will be soldering on some connectors on the motor to ESC leads so it will be an easy swap if this happens again.

Frank,

Just a heads-up, I opened my new issue of Fly RC (August 2008) and WAA-08 is proudly mentioned on page 20! Nice job!

I stopped at my local wal-mart on the way home from flying. No luck. They had last month's issue still. Oh well. I'll stop by my LHS on the way home tomorrow. Maybe they might have it in already but I am suspecting that folks with subscriptions get them first.

I always used to get my FlyRC before any of the news stands. Seems to be behind since I moved to Georgia.

Well, just to add a little levity to our great venture, I just came across this, which explains the popularity of the "squeaky hot dog" for all you fliers out there....

Sorry to hear that. I thought for sure today. I mailed it on Sat. Thanks for scanning it for us when it does make it. Shoot it my way in an email and I'll send it out to all.
