Interesting interview on ABC right now (don't know who's talking). He's bringing up the point that this coincides with another huge defeat of Al Qaida: The secular uprising throughout the Arab world that's managed to overthrow governments that Al Qaida has failed to overthrow. Hopefully, this will make them irrelevant... (Or he becomes a martyr and the sh*t hits the fan... But I like to be optimistic until proven wrong...)

Yup. I was working and living on Manhattan 9/11/01. I was a mile or so away when it happened, but it was the scariest and most horrible thing I've ever experienced.

BTW... Apparently not a drone. They seem to be saying it was ground forces.

Good news. My kid serving in Afghanistan called me about an hour ago. They are all pumped over the good news the leader is no more.

Bad part is that there will be more to replace him.....

big johnny,funny you mentioned the" wiz of oz "song.............but the sad part is Dorthy [and Toto]were happy too be dancing around with the lil munchkins until she found out there was another witch to deal with.this war isn't over by a long shot.

i pray the government and the media doesn't portray this victory like a TV show,deliberately making a mockery of the radical Muslims and osama bin, and pissing off the neutral ,peaceful Muslims.

example,i know osama's dead,but do we need to show the attack done by the seals,or his bloody dead corps with a bullet hole in his head on tv for all to see.[including our very young children].what good would that do except perhaps to push ratings up for networks or create political fame.

I'm very glad the is gone to meet his maker,the truth is very real to osama now. no virgins in his future ...forevever! and lot of heat.
