As you can see, I have to scratch build 1 flap and part of 1 aileron, but not bad considering who knows how long it has been gathering dust or how many times it has been moved around. I also have some work fixing some build flaws but nothing serious, thought I wish I could have built all of the kit as the fuselage is coming out really straight and true. I have figured out about where they left off within the instructions so I can backtrack a bit to catch any omissions or errors. Newer hardware and electronics will really make it shine, making her stronger, lighter, more reliable than anything Sig could have imagined. Not going overboard on scale detail as I want to be able to fly it regularly, but hope she is show worthy for some events.
Thanks again for watching!

Slow progress today, but I had to get in some flying.
Still can’t make up my mind on the empennage servo placement - considering either aft mount with short push rods or traditional center mount and longer pushrods.

Previous builder left me a bit of a puzzle, but thankfully it was only not finished instead of not assembled properly. I did have to refit the aileron hinges and that required growing some wood into the holes and recutting

How about an update?
Why don’t my photos load anymore? Says they are not valid files?
Haven’t done anything new, device wise.
Anyway, link to progress on different site with better photos.

Time to put away the glue and pick up the sanding blocks with fresh sandpaper. 80 grit for shaping 150 for smoothing, and finish with 200 then 400. Will probably glass the fuselage with 1/2 oz cloth and Varthane water based clear.

Total 6 coats Polycryllic, 0.5 oz fiberglass cloth, and sanded to 1000 #W/D - wet of course. Would you believe applied with a disposable foam brush?
One more light sanding and it’s time for primer paint.
Clearances and tolerances still good, want to do a quick CG check before paint.
The Objective:
Add no more weight to balance!
