Default In and Out

Yall.

My Grandfather,

A veteran of WWII, Korea and Vietnam and various other conflicts through his 30+ years in uniform. Serving as both an Army grunt and later an Army pilot. came in enlisted and retired a LTC.

He has struggled for the last few years with a handful of problems which came with his 80+ years.

A fighter to the end, yesterday afternoon, LTC William G White (ret), my grandfather passed away.

I received this information only an hour or so ago after writing a Thank You post in Melsoft's home forum in Romania for his participation. (its one of the things that bites about being far away from home)

My grandfather was the rock of my family and so there are alot of tears to shed. Proudly he will be burried in Arlington with full honors next to his fellow veterans and heros.

Proud I am of our accomplishments here in GT and I am thankful that Wiggy has landed in SOP's hands. (also means I can take a break from beating up postal services for a minute)

I may be in and out for a few days. Should anything arise in the thread, just give the staff a hollar.

please do not fill the GT main thread with your replies to this message. Please only place them in this thread. I dont want the project to become about my grandfather while we celebrate the beginning of the Second Phase of Wiggy's journey. I hope you understand.

Thanks
Stink

Sorry for your loss, Tim. I'll bet your Granddad and my Dad are telling each other flying stories, many of which might be true. If your Grandad was like my Dad, he loved to talk flying.
