Didn't have to do any snowblowing yeaterday. The 35-40 mph winds did it for me. Just had to contend with driving and walking on about an inch of hard frozen ice. At least today the wind is almost gone and the temperature is up to 9 F.

At least tomorrow afternoon the wife and I will be in Columbia SC with our grandaughter for Christmas at least till Saturday. Supposed to be warm then. Usually, when we get down there for this time of year, we get to kid our son about how Columbia is colder than our Northern home town. Not this year!

No, but we see her around town once in a while. You can agree or disagree with her politics but she is pretty much like the McCain campaign depicted her. A honest real person with a real family and a real life. She also really took on the previous republican Governor who had gotten too chummy with the oil companies and risked her political future successfully getting the state a fair share of the oil revenue.

Hang on as we are supposed to leave Christmas morning for Florida. Last time I was there, I was accused of bringing cold temps. I am tired of these single digit temps here. Have fun, DOC Holliday

Default Happy New Year to all.

Here is wishing to all of you a Happy New Year. Sorry that some of you do not have the weather to go flying. So I thought I would cheer you up with a photo I shot this morning, no wind just beautiful day.

Have a safe new year.

I built on a new indoor foamie that I got for Christmas. It is a 2dogsrc Breeze that should come in around 5oz. Temperature outside was -17* this morning and it got up to -12* before the sun set. At least the wind quit blowing

Got my first flight of 08 this morning, in the backyard with my little PZ Vapor. 24* and dead calm!!!! Flew for about 15 minutes with a MCX 110ma before it hit LVC from the cold. Plugged in the stock 70ma battery and it only ran for about 5 minutes before it hit LVC. Good to move the sticks around again, must have been a month since my last flight, too much wind here and if its not blowing its been real chilly out....

Happy flying
Bob

Had a chance to take a little Air Hogs twin pusher differential thrust steering piece of plastic to the park across the street Tuesday. Thought I was going to loose it. It actually caught a thermal, and got up high enough where I was starting to worry avout orientation and range. Managed to get it back, though. Most impressive flight I've ever had with a cheepie.

43* F, about 3-4 MPH wind. Thermals DO exist in the winter, even on the Sunny South Shore of Lake Erie.

Hi world, checking in from Elimäki in Finland, yesterday I flew in -10 C (14 degrees F) and today it has dropped to -15 (5 degrees F). I have a couple of packs on charge and will fly when light enough. At least I don't have far to go to fly, step out of door, cross the yard, and hand launch, land back on the dirt road that passes by our place.

We got the same weather as Finland.

Once in a great while we will get weather in the 30's. Just talked to my parents in Florida, looks like they are getting 80's for temps.
