Default ATC North Pole newsflash

Newsflash :

It has come to attention of Air Traffic Control North Pole, that improper use of Unmanned Air Vehicles, commonly known as Drones has compromised safe airspace.

Therefore it has been decided that the flight path of Flight "XMAS RD Santa" shall be re-routed to avoid known conflict areas such as Hogwaught Alley as example.
This unfortunately means that some children will receive their presents late.

ATC North Pole also have to advise that as yet "XMAS RRD Santa" has not been issued relevant FAA licences for the UAS presents carried. Discussions with Elves continues.

Previous problems of Homeland Security measures, along with 'Shoot Down' threats and "XMAS RD Santa" flights over US territory have been resolved allowing flights to be resumed subject to above 'Drone' operations.

Under the new "Rule" recently adopted by the FAA, will Santa have to register his sled and pay a fee?

Nigel
I had the inside scoop with NORAD. Used to track it all the time!

I wish we could have gotten a picture of the car we saw earlier that looked like a sleigh with santa driving it...

Another question about this "Rule"...is giving out presents considered a commercial use?? And, if so, does Santa have to register all eight reindeer?

Nige,it is based on the Flying Lawnmower wing, which was in the RCM plans range years ago. There was also a flying Porsche on the same wing.
It,s basically just a foam wing,2 foot chord, and the same span,4" at the thickest point, fully symmetric. The sides are 2mm ply,or laminated cardboard.I just drew up the sides to suit the size of the wing, and the same with Santa and Rudolph.
With cheap hi-brightness LED,s available now,you could give him a really shiny nose
That,s an old .60 on the nose, which was ok to fly it.I had the CG too far back, which meant it was a wild ride,so keep that in mind if you,re going to build it.
This was way back in the mid 90,s,so gear is a lot lighter these days. You could even go electric.
Hans.
