I didn't see Eastwind Models in this thread.
Low cost plans for a number of different designs.
I just built the PF Cruiser with first flight on Saturday.
Nice plans and with the construction notes on the web site it's not that much more difficult than building a balsa kit.

Ron, how about Alpha Foamies, http://www.alphafoamies.com/cgi-bin/commerce.cgi. Line of EPP foamies, 3D and Vintage Bipes. They all seem to fly well, I know that my SE5 does and it takes a likin and keeps on tickin like an old Timex.

Thanks for the links, Huffy. I've added the JART site to the "Plans" section and the Airstrike + Airsports links to the "Soaring" section of the Builders Links.
Great Find!

I found a site www.luft46.com , 3 view drawings of German WW2 experiment aircraft.
Descriptions vary whether the airplane flew ,wind tunnel tested or never left the planning table.

I have mentioned this site several other posts includin Paperairplane's thread for full fuse models. http://wp.scn.ru/en/camo
alot of good information and you have to check out the "paper models" available for free downloads. transfers really easy to scaled up balsa or foam. I enlarged 400% for my patterns.

Thanks to Huffy and Capn Chaos, I've added the links to the list.
To Cdr. Instigator.

If any one needs a drawing made (no 3-d crap.....Im just not that good) from a sketch, PM me and I'll be glad to make a .dwg of it for you if I can. 15 years ago I was a pretty good draftsman, and I still play with auto cad some.

That's weird Ron..
I sent that same link to several co-workers and my wife just to check about this need to register thing... and they all came back with.. They can view and down load the files without ever having to register..
I have even logged off the main site and if I click on the link, All I see are all the files and I am able to down load them..

Hi Cdr,
Well, I guess my downloading skills aren't what they should be...I was wrong, sorry about that!
I asked the Mods to check and several confirmed that the files can be downloaded without registration.
Sorry about the mix-up, my error!
I'll add it to the list.

Helo Freeflight1,
Here's a couple of sets, first from WiktorS2 on RCG, post # 13;
http://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?t=54300
Click on the plans and you'll get a tiled set. You could have these scaled up or down.
Then, a plans set from the RC-Store, 36" wingspan;

Good Luck!

Thanks Ron, those plans are exactly what I wanted. I had looked over the construction thread, and stuff about plans and a short kit, but did not find these. The short kit appeared to have long ago stopped being produced.
Thanks again,
Doug

Doug,
Windrider just recently released their 32" WS BD-5:
http://www.windrider.com.hk/product.asp?id=164
Free shipping until 12/25, not a bad deal. Much easier than building one from plans too.

There is one of my problems, I keep buying kits, but I'll see plans I like, I blow them up and start scratch building. So now I have a lot of kits and a number of unfinished scratch built projects. Thanks for the info though, I will check it out. Is scratch building caught by breathing to much balsa dust? LOL

I'm old school love that balsa, but foam does have it place. Even I have an old all foam MRC glider I think it is call Young Star or Star something or other. The British do some good things with a mix of foam and balsa construction too. We're builders though, we will use cardboad if it fits our need. You should see my toliet paper roll Gee Bees.
