East Granby, Connecticut, 10:09 PM
Entire state under a blizzard warning. Heavy snow falling, wind gusts to 50mph.
Snow falling at rate of 2-4 inches per hour. Snow amounts predicted up to 18 to 24 inches. Visibility less than 1/8 mile.
Storem ending around noon Monday.
I don't think there will be any flying for the next several days.

In Orleans, MA on Cape Cod, we have steady 40MPH winds with a few gusts to 65MPH. So far, mostly rain for us with temperature 36F. Just yesterday, Saturday afternoon, there was perfect weather for flying with winds of just a few MPH. It was indeed the calm before the storm.

Just outside Philly PA. About six inches and still falling. 26 degrees F with occasional gusts of wind at about 25 MPH. Snow drifts back as soon as I finish shoveling it. Very fluffy and pretty to look at though.

What a bummer yesterday.Would have been a good day to take the Island Hopper, and maybe the PZ P-51 over to the nearby rec center, but the family wouldn't let me go out because of the heavy snow in Irmo - - A bit over an inch, but the streets were clear. Temperature in this part of SC got up to at least 35 in the afternoon. Winds were only about 10-12.
Looks like my son became a weather wimp when he moved down here from Ohio. He wasn't even willing to go shooting.

Warm and wet here in the Fraser Valley region of B.C., but 80 miles West of us, at Mt. Washington, on Vancouver island, the ski resort got 2 metres of snow in 48 hrs, that's 80" for you non-metric folks! People couldn't find their cars in the parking lot, and the lodge was just a big mound of white. That gives them a base of 650cm.(20 ft), the most of any ski hill on the planet!!!

3:04 UTC: Mendham, NJ, USA. Partly sunny, cold and way too breezy for me to fly. On what seems to be shaping up to a marathon call with India.
I think I'll take unflyable conditions and a call with India over flyable conditions with a call with India. The latter would drive me nuts.
(It took me about a month and a half and a couple of semi-successful flights to make me an addict. And it's all your fault. Without you, I would probably have given up after the first three unsuccessful attempts)

About 20*, 10 mph winds, occasional light snowfall. Prediction for tomorrow is 22, snow showers, wind about 15. May go out to the club field tomorrow, get some flying in to celebrate the fact that after 20 years as club treasurer, I will finally get to sit with the other members and listen to someone else read the financials! Also, I finally got out to a local park during my visit in SC and completed 20 years of all-weather flyer. Now, maybe I'll start on year 21.

Cold and windy here, still managed to get one flight in today with my glider...
I now have a bent wing tube though... maybe it was a bit too windy.
Still got it down in one piece even with the wings in a v shape!.

So Bill, have you been doing those HIGH-G aerobatic maneuvers again trying to impress the spectators?
