Default Has anyone in the UK ordered from giantcod.co.uk

Has anyone in the UK ordered from giantcod.co.uk? They seem very cheap and promise to dispatch within 48 hours.
Thanks

No, but I think I will. Their prices and postage look great. I'm pretty sure I'll order a motor this week and report back.

I ordered a motor and connectors last night. It came to 7.68 including postage. I couldn't have paid that if I'd driven to the Lhs and I didn't have to endure the Lhs experience.

There's a sale now on at boomshot.co.uk for all planes and heli's which includes the Cesna 182, Pitts and T34 brushless RTF packages at boomshot.co.uk. Prices for RTF brushless packages are 114.99 which is closer to what you'd pay for a brushed version and it includes a LIPO battery....

Giantcod is one of the best UK RC sites going. Not only are the prices, and postage fantastic, you get personal service via the forums.
If you've got a question, it will be answered.

I have had a few orders from Giantcod and all have been satisfactory. I ordered a motor and a few bits and pieces last week, with no special posage. They arrived the following day at 10.30 am.That cant be bad. All good stuff and the cheapest I can find anywhere. 10/10 score for them. I shall be using them again.

Default No contact possible with Giantcod

I would like to know why I got no reply to my e-mail about some products I was going to buy from Giantcod. The success of an on-line business relies on customers' getting prompt replies to e-mails. Incidentally, it was not just me but another electric guy in our club too. Don't even bother to telephone either. The boss is always 'away from his desk'.

It may be just a co-incidence but the word 'cod' in Ireland is also used to mean 'a joke'. So, as suspected by other complainants, this company is 'a big joke'. Caveat emptor.

Tim.

Default Giantcod

Hi all ordered 3pm Thursday, with me Friday morning.

Rob has always given good service, in the early days he would take orders for items out of stock, which lead to delays.

Good prices, although "published" warrenty limited, although always treated me fairly.

I always got what it said on the Jar, recommend.

Ordered three li-pos from Giantcod, only two would charge and the third would not even register a voltage on a volt meter, so went back to giantcod, whom stated that the batteries had been checked by their supplier and that was the end of my complaint. Would never use again. For the sake of a replacement it would have been good customer relations
