I have decided to slowly make the switch. I have a few lipos that use some heavy duty gauge wire. It is a pain to solder them to Deans.

My buddy just switched over and I have to say I am an instant fan of them.
Check out, per my thread below:

Amp 45 Amp Pins

Amp Shells (Also have 1445957-2, -3, -4, -5 for different colors)

Amp sells these connectors in "Series 15/30/45" that is very similar or the same as the APP connectors. The Amp Connector pin (Only) number for the 45 Amp unit is #1445962-2. This is rated for #10, 12 and 14 wire sizes. Mating with this is the #1445957-1, -2, -3, -4, and -5 plastic shell (for different colors). The Mouser photo shows the 15 Amp pin, but if you go through the Mouser documents for the 45 Amp pin, they show the familiar "Clam Shell" crimp type of connector.

Looks like they sell one set of 45 Amp Anderson Power Pole connectors for about 20 cents for each 45 ampere pin, and 44 cents for each shell. I purchased 100 pins several years ago, and still have some left. (Got the shells from work, they were using well over 3000 per month in power connectors we used in $25,000 high voltage circuit breakers.)

Mouser sells to anyone with a credit card. I've made many orders (Both at work before retiring and at home) to them over the past decades, and have been happy with their service.

I've been a fan of those connectors for quite awhile... but I've been swiching out my stuff for the new XT60 connectors due to price... the xt60's seem good enough for my likeing... and are fine to solder...
