Default Ben Buckle Elf Conversion

Here is a Ben Buckle Elf conversion that is in progress. It was poorly built by an unknown person for another person. The owner wasn't happy with the build and never finished powering it.
I wont go into the faults, it was a bear to get into the cowl and tank area to remove the blind nuts that were full of epoxy and a lot of skin and blood was involved.
It is powered with an Axi 2826-10, Jeti 40 and a 3s1p True RC 4000 mah battery. These pictures are what I had done to it when I carried it to a local electric meet for show and tell. We test flew it yesterday and all the test pilot ask was more down thrust. Being an original free flight model and the wings are set up as such, I figured it needed the down thrust, didn't add enough. The paint is drying as we speak, where I had to relieve the cowl somemore for more clearance for the motor.

Default First E-Flight

Flew the Elf for the first time after the conversiion. Flew well, test pilot recommended some down thrust.
Put the recommended thrust and went back a week later. Few minutes into the flight she began to "waddle", the only word I can think of to discribe the actions, then snapped into a spin striaght down. Couldn't believe it bounced like it did. Broken leading edge, battery shelf came loose and servo tray came loose. Ready for retry, just haven't had time. This picture is after I went out and picked it up, you cant tell anything is broken. Notice the splayed landing gear. That is the only thing that gives it away.

Have since repaired the Elf and tried the second test flight. Same thing low level slow pass, 100 feet off the turf, mid speed, snap and bounce. Little more damage. gave it to another fellow, he might figure it out.
Will be selling the Ben Buckle plans soon. Ordered them to make the conversion, only unfolded to get CG and some other measurements, never had a pin stuck in them.
