Default E-Flight "BYP YAK"

I bought this plane about 1 1/2 years ago flew it as sport plane for a few months, didn't really have an interest in 3D and didn't have a really effieceint power system .So although I liked it I didn't love it.Well guess what? Now I'm starting to get more interest in 3D and took it down this week put a different motor, esc, and battery in it. Heat gunned out the twists set up high rates and lo and behold it's a whole different ball game. What a sweet preformer, It's not a beginners 3D by any means cuz of it's fragille light 2mm depron construction but man can it instill confidence in an experienced pilots 3rd or 4th attemp with a 3D plane. I didn't know what I had or maybe I wasn't ready for it then but now what a fun plane. I really like the positive feel of the pull pull tail surfaces. It's got a E-Max B L 2215/20 out runner, turning a GWS black 10x4.7 prop.,25 A C.C. Phenoix ESC and it flys best with a 800 ma or a 1000 ma 3 cell li-po. But it will also carry and climb fine with a 1500ma 3s Li-po. This is one of the few times I've gotten lucky with a power system and had it sweet from the start .Or should I say 2nd start. LOLHovers at less than 1/2 throttle and zooms at full as long as all CF rods are glued in tight. It has a few repairs you can crush 2mm depron handleing it ,( got it out of a tree yesterday) but that just makes me fly it lower and that's when 3D looks best huh? At eye level. Me and F B Minnisteve are putting together a 48" w.s. Extra 260 .50cc 3Der converted to a Electric Power 25 so we're gonna practice on this first. I've told Steve to start a thread on the big bird here.

Everyone who gets the sticks on this Bipe are amazed at how well it responds to pilot input, even pilots who haven't tried much 3D flying are trying hovers and simple moves . I'm attempting moves I thought impossible a week ago but confidence is quick in coming with such a great behaving plane.

It's become a hit at our field. I think the kit has been discontinued though.

The Rythm 3D bipe is an acceptable replacement for it.A little smaller but very similar in flight.

I'm building a 6mm depron copy of the Byp Yak and since it's heavier I added an extra wing LOL So it's a Tripe Yak
