Is the tubing for Home Depot / Lowes the thin and light stuff?

it's perfect. It's actually 3/8 channel...it's used to protect edges of plywood. the only problem is that it's 3/8 by 1/4. If you have a bench grinder or belt sander, about 5 mins of sanding and your parts will slide on perfect. I don't think that my AP rig would have been strong enough without it...and yes, it's light.
