Ok, I kept the last kit from the last production run and it's just sitting here begging to be built, lol. I did a mod on it for SlowJohn, who picked up the last one from here, this was sweeping the wings back which should give it jet like performance and looks. I'm going to make the same mod for mine, it will help him in test mode and get me a different flying/looking plane in the process.

Photos shown are the stock unadulterated kit and a basic assembled plane, I'm pulling it back 1" on each wing half, of which I gotta begin by cutting that one up into two wings and am going to put more detail into it for some added flair.

Well, I spoke to the penguin and found out that I was the problem. It seems when you prepare a post in Word, then copy it to the thread, it brings along symbols from Word that mean something else in WattFlyer. In this case paragraph breaks in Word equate to Stick out the tongue smiley.

Just a tidbit of information for future posters.

Saucer, you need to start a build thread for your entry and post a link to the build thread in this thread. Remember the build must be completed and flown by the end of December.

I will, I actually have a build log for the original, just condensed into a couple of pages, I'll do another for this one. I already cut the wing up for the sweep last night.

Hey contest builders, there is less than two weeks left until the contest ends. Be sure and complete your builds, fly your airplane and post it all in your build thread by 12-31-08.

Also be sure there is a link in this thread to your build thread. If I don't know about your entry, it won't be included in the voting.

Now, get those planes flying.

Sorry Ace, but unless the build thread is on WattFlyer, it can't be entered, since this is a WattFlyer contest.

Just start a build thread and show the link to the thread here. Just remember the build must have started during the contest time frame and be finished by 12-31-08 with proof by video or photos that the plane flies.

Good luck and speedy building.

As of 12-31-08, the Scratchbuilders Contest Number 2 is closed.

When I set up the rules, I did not consider all the work to get the vote ready. I will close all the threads that are complete as entries and post those threads here. If I missed one, let me know.

The threads that are not eligible for entry, due to not being complete, will be left open so the builders can complete the build.

As soon as I get all my thread editing and the voting poll set up, I will announce the start of voting here and the voting will stay open for a full two weeks.

Thanks to all who entered the contest. It really has been fun to watch.

So, now to work.

Great work Jim on putting it all together. Looking forward to voting in this contest, it's going to be tough to decide on the best one. It's nice to see how much fun folks are having with this. It's good to know some ideas that I have are actually good ones.

Keep up the good work.
