Default New Lipo setup

I have a Airfoilz edge 540 and i want to get a new lipo battery that will last longer in the air. I was thinking about a Triton jr charger and i would charge the battery thought the deans connector and use the astro flight blinky to ballance the battery.

My motor is a Turnigy 2217 16turn 1050kv 23A Outrunner my esc is a
TURNIGY Plush 25amp Speed Controller.

Will i be able to put either of theses thunder power lipo battery in my plane
11.1V 1320mAh 3-Cell
11.1V 2000mAh 3-Cell
11.1V 2100mAh 3-Cell

will either of these setups fry my motor or speedcontroler
and how long of flight time do you think i will get with these batteries

Thanks for all your help

Mike

Hi Mike,

In reply to your question, yes, any of those choices will be just fine.

But, I prefer the Hyperion's. The new G3's are real killer.
HYPERION G3 CX 1600 MAH 3S 11.1V 25C/45C LIPOLY PACK

But how much flight time do you want? I find my Airfoilz Edge flys best with the 1200's on it. Super light, and I can afford 2 of those just as easy as 1 2100. I get 10 plus minutes per flight easy. You can get 15~18 minutes with the 2100, but the weight is the bummer. With the 1320's you can get 8~12 minutes, less weight more flight. Do 1200's , buy 2, and get more flight time than just one 2100.

What the heck is up with that poll, chose between two Hi priced (good batterys) or two mediocre packs?

The best seem to be Outrage packs, however, they are only used for heli's or edf usage, all other applications don't require better stuff....

HC Rhino's are the way to go for me....

Bad Idea, the longer it's in the air, the more weight your putting on it... and then it flys worse... (try the 1300 at very most)

I was thinking about a Triton jr charger and i would charge the battery thought the deans connector and use the astro flight blinky to ballance the battery.
Blinkie is not the way to go... get a good charger that balance charges also... This one works great...

short answer No, Long answer, your battery's can't fry anything... overproping the motor, or overamping the esc does...

and how long of flight time do you think i will get with these batteries
The motor is spec'd for 23amps, actuall usage on that has been about 22amps on 11x4.7sf or 10x4.7sf (can't remember exactly so check amp draw)

11.1V 1320mAh 3-Cell 1.3 x 60 / 22a = 3.5 min full throttle
11.1V 2000mAh 3-Cell 2.0 x 60 / 22a = 5.45 min full throttle
11.1V 2100mAh 3-Cell 2.1 x 60 / 22a = 5.72 min full throttle

Whenever possible, I'm using Hyperion.

That battery you specify will work fine.
