They still (allegedly)have the Cub. No Tripes or moths left. Never responded to my emails from Thursday, I am ticked that they still had tripes in stock while I was trying to buy one. Seemed like they let a lot of people in line ahead of me because I had a simple question. I hope their store front people (for their sake I hope they aren't on-line only) have better manners. I will not due business with them now anyway.

It works for some and not for others
I have lost my account and order twice now.
I have no idea if I have an order or not.

Paypal wasn't even an option! At least that way I would have had some insurance on my order.

You have the same 'insurance' with ANY credit card.
No product, no payment. Just call your card company.

Last time, the card company took two months to "verify" my claim. Paypal took a little over a week.

That sounds to me like it is time for a different card. I'm not discounting PayPal's security and benefits (I've got over 6K PP transactions). I'm just stating any company that takes 2 months to solve a problem, has gotten 6 weeks of my time that cost them my business. I'd be gone in a flash.

I don't do business with B of A, as a personal choice. This last year, B of A acquired one of my card companies. I cancelled the card. Then, B of A acquired our mortgage loan, so I refinanced. I really mean it when I say I don't do business with B of A.

I am the master of my affairs, not my creditors.

(note to self, hold off on the diatribes when you say "stay on topic")

I know they won't screw me!! If I have to I'll make a phone call but I have no doubt that they will make it right with me whether it's a plane or a refund. Steve

Waiting for the end of the turmoil before selecting another card provider. Already in a class action suit against another financial institution.

I just talked to Gill to Polks Hobby again this morning. He said that they got in the neighborhood of 200 orders in a very small period of time. It will take a day or so to get everything sorted and processing orders. Things will ship out as fast as possible.

Gill said that the company who runs the server has repaired the issues. Personally, I think that the mad rush has passed so the system is not being overloaded is more likely the case.

OMG.. how could I miss this. I would kill for that Fokker or Tiger Moth.

I ordered the Jessica ARF Glider, because I've really wanted a glider but can't afford a PZ Radian.

The Jessica is supposed to be the same as the Protech Alpha 180. Here is the manual.

  • Wingspan 69.5''-1800mm
  • Weight 1100g
  • Radio Required 3 Channel

"Rant On"

So What
I would much rather have more Mom & Pop's like them than the really poor after purchase support we are getting now.

They must be doing something right to still be in business after all this time.

Too many e-businesses with people there that don't know what they are talking about and don't care and less of those with a proven track record of standing behind everything. Sometimes waiting a little longer is the best in the long run.

I think the problem is today's society is in way to much of a hurry and they need to slow down and enjoy life instead of @#%!*ing all the time because things are not handled as fast as they would like.

They are a dying breed and I for one will miss companies like that when they are all gone.

"Rant Off"

Now back on topic.
Anybody have any experience with their C-47?

I might have felt better if I got any response from them ( I was one of the first to try to order a DR.1). They were getting rid of the planes for a reason. It is my opinion they weren't doing that well before the alleged "server overload". You can ignore me or bash me, it doesn't change the fact that regardless of how knowledgeable they are, something is drastically wrong with their business. They are a dying breed for what to me is an obvious reason.
