Default POLKS hobbies Fokker triplane $25!!!

I just got an email from Polks Hobbies saying that they are getting out of the RC plane business and all their planes are $25!! I bought my red triplane from them 2yrs. ago for $112 plus shipping. I just bought another one for $48.50 with the shipping included. Yes its red and the rudder is a little big but I plan to make the rudder scale size on this one and either repaint it or recover to do a different DR1. You guys should be checking this sale out!!! This is a well built 40in. ws plane made of balsa for less than $50 including shipping!!! www.polkshobbies.com Steve

I bought a Fokker (for Hircflyer) and a C-47. With controllers, and motors too, whole bill shipped was $120.

SMOKIN DEAL!

$5 pilots,

$5 controllers,

Good stuff.

I bought the CHARLOTTE ARF GLIDER 82"" WING. $25 was a steal. I've been wanting to try one, and this stopped any excuses that I had.

My triplane from them is a well built good flying plane so I figure the Moth would be too. Yeah the shipping is a little high but its still cheap for these planes. You guys are welcome for the heads up. At these prices I figured I'd give everyone a shot at them!!! Steve

I guess this is over. Their RC catalog doesn't open, they deleted my account and never responded to my email. Based on their web design, I bet they will be dumping the rest of their stock soon.

Glad to hear you figured out the problem dbcisco!! It is a good sale!! I'm just glad they sent me the email so we can all benefit from this. I don't know about you guys but for me times are a little hard right now and I can really use the price break to keep my hobby alive!! I don't get overtime anymore and that's what I used for "plane money". Steve

Thanks for the heads up about the sale. I ordered two of the POLK Cubs, a Fokker Dr1 and a Tiger Moth.

I remember 30 years ago as a twelve year old kid, going to the 5 story Polk’s Hobbies store in Manhattan and looking at everything in sheer amazement. I always wanted one of their RC planes.

What power system are using on your triplane?

Also, I'm new to the forum and just wanted say hello! Hopefully, I can make some positive contributions here as well.

Regards,

Anthony
