T-Rex V2 35X ESC low lipo cut-off voltage protection
#1

I have a 2 months old T-Rex 450SE v2:
I can't program my Align 35x ESC to low lipo cut-off. For some reason it will only accept mid lipo cut-off. I tried at least 10 times without success. I can set any other mode to high level without problem.
The lipo cut-off is the 3rd mode in the programming sequence and low cut-off voltage is the high setting (3 bip).
As I am using 4s a123 batteries most of the time and the esc battery protection mode cut-off too soon at mid setting.
Can anyone here his ESC to low cut-off voltage protection? or am I the only one that can't get this. The manual does not say anything about this set-up not being available.
Thanks

I read a reply from Finless Bob on another forum that it looks like the latest Align ESC will not allow you to program low lipo cut-off anymore. This option has been removed from Align on all their new 450 and 500 helicopters sold recently
.
As my A123 batteries are 3.3v 4s instead of 3.7v 3s, and that the ESC somehow recongnize these as being a 4 cells battery, it is normal that I get early cut-off.
What I don't understand is why my 2-3 first flights were OK for 7 minutes without any cut-off when now the ESC cuts off after 1 minutes. Did the ESC got smarter all of a sudden
I am quite sure my batteries are not damages and still like new
.
Does anyone have a solution for this? I would like to be able to use these A123 batteries in my T-Rex as you can fly 10 minutes and recharge in 15 minutes. Basically you can fly all day on 2 A123 batteries and get over 1000 cycles on each of them.
