Weather fine so I decide to fly but Yesterday was not good !

Because of a discussion on another Forum - I decided to video a flight of my Phantom 3 Pro to confirm which was true.

Way back - you could fly a P3 without tablet / phone as far as you liked - based on visual sighting to fly - no telemetry or video display to help. You would fly it like any normal Quad or Model.
Latest FW updates have removed that and restrict flight to 50m horizontal radius of take off point if no display / GO / LITCHI app active.

So out I go ...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VwBDueMX7fw&t=

I put the link - as the YT tags don't seem to work on this at moment ..

That tree I estimated at 30m from me ... with the leaves gone - I should have no trouble. UGH !! Mistake ! The tree actually turns out to be 50m away and the P3 clips a branch instead of being clear ... down she goes because at 50m - I have no extra to call on ..
My P3 is now with courier to DJI Repairs .... that is going to cost me dear !

I have to say that the addition of the MIG29 to my hangar has revolutionised my flying ... with my modifications it has allowed flying in the limited area 'over the road' from my house !

With my Soloshot 3 which is still in 'learning stage' ..
