Default Hangar Queen NO MORE!

Finally go the time and weather to maiden the Mountain Models Firestorm!
Plenty of power on 3S with an AXI 2820/10 1200kv and 10x7 APC. Unfortunately produced some bearing noise over 3/4 throttle. I had thought it may have been the prop flexing on the bench. New bearings on order. Really floats nicely at low speed even with the CG a bit forward and seems to stall flat. 3 clicks aileron trim and about 6 elevator due to CG placement. Pretty obvious why I felt I had to maiden this baby today.

My latest is my scratch-built "Wood Wing." Oak and copper for the win!

It's powered by minute fluctuations in the aether, transmitted to a Tesla induction motor.

Oak and copper, much under-used materials in RC aircraft building... until now! Might be a trend setter

Yup...I love it. A fellow club member built and covered it. Eventually I'll pass this one down to someone. This is my third, my other is the newer ARF style with the drop box, use that for candy/tpy drop at events. Have the 70 and change inch one done up in lights....looks like a UFO at night. They fly like a dream.

My newest plane (and currently, my ONLY plane - *somebody* [cough, cough, Porcia83] bought my others before I moved) is the Snafuey II. No, you won't find another one anywhere at a field. This is a one of a kind, designed and built by yours truly.

Yeah, I really don't like showing up at a flying field and seeing a plane exactly like mine already there.

Hope it's some good news on the twin! (Still waiting)

I recently built this. I was bored one day and walmart quit carrying 20x30 foamboard, so I used 20x15". It's a great hoverer. It might fly better with the rudder flipped upside down.

Had to get in on the HK sale so bought my second Unique Models T-50. The full scale is a joint development with Lockheed Martin and the Koreans. One of our club members is the chief contract negotiator for Lockheed on this program. Looks like they borrowed a lot from the F-16.

Could not resist the Black Eagle. USD $121.00 shipped. PNP 820mm WS 70mm edf with servo controlled canopy and decent retracts including spring loaded gear doors. Had one earlier until I totaled her last year. Ha. So, at least I have some spares.

Here's youtube clip showing the T-50 on grass which is a field similar to ours: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v0uUOgkvSOg
