Thumbs down

I'm with bubsteve here. My ghetto confuser only delivered little boxes with a red X in the middle of it. I assume that means I'm banned from seeing the links...or something like that.

How's that stock landing gear? I read it doesn't take landings very well. I was thinking of getting something like this:

I dont think its the actual landing gear, but the frame where the gear attaches. Thats what is getting reinforced. I got some carbon fibub gonna fix mine up.

Default No written text?

My CAP came with a set of pictures much like what you posted PLUS a stapled together bundle of several pages of pretty detailed instructions in pretty well written English. Did the SU not have the separate set of written instructions?

Hmmm, Ok. As I recall the written pages, the photo pages, and the decal sheet were all in the same plastic bag. Do you think it would be helpful for me to scan and post the CAP instructions? Many of the details are probably applicable, though not necessarily everthing.

I also have the Cap. Putting together the Su-31 is not going to be a problem. What I really needed was the CG and initial control throw data, and since the pages that Nitro posted are magically viewable, I'm good.

Thanks!

Default Manual and landing gear

Nitro
Thanks for posting the info. Seems like you are getting a lot more work out of this one than you should have to do.

In looking at what has been found on the SU-31 and the thread on the CAP it seems like they share a less than robust fixture of the landing gear strut into the fuse. I think the first part of this build for me will be checking out what all of you are doing with that and figuring out how to do it on mine. I suspect the Su will not tolerate too many bounces on touchdown as stock built.

Anything between 9 and 16 gram. I'm partial to the Hyperion ATLAS DS 16 FCD FULLY PROGRAMMABLE DIGITAL SERVO

But anything works!

DumoBub::Every single reply nearly in the tread I posted companied about the LG, I'm go'in to great lengths to beef mine up an keep it lite as well,
so far I'm the only one of us go'in without the Pull-Pull manacle rudder linkage,
Two pack in the back (servos) worked so well on my Brio,
the motor mount'in a tad weak on attachments even if you epoxy it all around it's still glued on a 1/32' firewall that from what I've seen research'in it is that it fails fairly easyally , I'm lay'in CF brace'in on it as well,,
Done right CF is lite as balsa with 10 times the umf-pa-pa!
Check out my post'in in the Free CF thread I got go'in ,, I posted a mess-o-tip's for how to Keep CF'in lite an strong,,most wayover do the Epoxy part instead of the "wet-out" way which take 1/4 the epoxy as "lay-up"does, I'll try to post some pixs soon though but my darn PC won't let me on my OS (windows) and my Linux is'nt a full OSBubsteve
