What is the maximum current discharge rate for AAA and AA size Ni-Cd and Ni-mH Batteries?

Actually, it depends on what brand and capacity battery you're talking about. Some are considerably better than others. For example, I've had no-name Chinese AAAs that couldn't do 4 Amps, and some Sanyos that could take 6 or 7 Amps.

The larger AA cells are only good for digital cameras and toys... They make lousy airplane packs, as they tend to be designed for high capacity, not high discharge rates.

Thanks for your response to my query.How much current SANYO 2100 Ni-MH ( Model HR-3U ) AA size cells can safely deliver?

As a guess maybe 2-3 C (4-6 amps)
