Default Hobby Lobby Mini Leader?

Ok I picked up a Hobby Lobby mini Leader and am trying to find a good power source for it. I have 2200ma batteries but it seems specing a motor for these sometimes takes a degree in electronics...

On the box it claims a 100-150 W so id guess 200 would be better.

Ideas? What motor did you use?

Thanks,

I picked up the Mini Leader during the crash sale. I ended up using a Just-Go-Fly 450XT. The kit was nice. The landing gear mounting was a weak point for me. I ended up tearing the bulkhead out of the fuse on a tall grass landing.
I'm not sure if you can fit that 2200 battery in the fuse. I used a 1300 and had I tight fit. It actually end up partially above the wing to get the CG right.

Thanks,

Anyone else?

From what I can tell I should be able to get the 2200 in there but it may have to sit back a little bit which could be interesting.

A couple of questions - What do you want this plane to do performance wise and what batterys are you using - 3s Lipo?

Just wondering if you've flown your Mini-Leader? Mine lived up to be bought during a "crash sale." I guess I'll stick with foamies for a while..........

Been flying the heck out of my MS Composit Unique!

I have a mini leader waiting to be built and am trying to figure out a good power plant option as well. I am just looking for a good pattern type setup.

I'm also a bit gun shy on the balsa plane as all the wood planes I've had so far haven't survived the maiden...

Just wanted to let everyone know that I finally finished up this plane and went with the following motor:
http://www.e-fliterc.com/Products/De...rodID=EFLM1505

Its a little overkill but the plane flies very well with it.

Another thing I did was move the battery up under the canopy for better balance. It allows me to use a 2200Ma with no issues. The plane flies very well.
