Default ???What's the best E power sub for a Cox .020??

Hi All,
I just started building a old tiger moth kit and it should have an .020 glow engine in it but I am going to go with E power.

Does anyone know what size motor would put out the same power and be the same size?

Thanks and happy landings,
Patrick Ryan

Default .020 Electric?

Hello Patrick,
Depending upon the weight of the finished model, this would be my recommendation;
http://www.maxxprod.com/mpi/mpi-26.html (Top of the page, the 2208-1260)
I've used this motor in 3 mini old timers that were made for .020 glow and they worked perfectly. I followed the suggestions for props with 2S LiPo, and it flew an OT "Playboy" and "So Long" like it was made for the models!
I also used a slightly smaller diameter prop on the Playboy with 3S LiPo and it climbed like a rocket. We've had several Climb + Glide OT contests here (limited motor run) and it's won or placed high in every one entered.
If you need a much larger prop, they have a lower Kv version, also.
Weight of the motor (alone) is about one ounce. I used 450 mAH LiPos and a 10 amp ESC. The different models weighed between 5 and 7 ounces.
Good Luck!
Ron

Thanks Sky,
That is just what I was looking for and with a tiger moth I would go with the big prop for more scale like flight.
