Default brand new mcpx v2 vibration frustration

I just received my new mcpx v2, got it all charged up, bound, and i go to lift off and it vibrates so violently I'm scared to fly it, its like a a blur of vibration, I tried to look for a source and noticed that there is no dampener on the swash for one of the ball links, perhaps that's a factory problem. i tried the mid everyone says to do with the canopy grommets and no change. it's vibrating so much that it drifts around, when i feel that it should be pretty locked in as advertised. it's almost unpredictable as to how it will respond to my control inputs because it's vibrating so much it seems to have very little gyro stability. Horizon is closed for the holiday today, so i'm mostly venting my frustration until i can call them. but frankly I expect quality from them. All the other products I have purchased from them. Including blade heli's have been top notch. Super frustrating if I have to send a brand new heli back.
Anyone else have these problems out of the box? I've got about 20 seconds of flying on it, most of that trying to avoid crashing and setting it down on a fluffy down comforter to avoid damage. It does seem like the main shaft gear is very tight but when I look at it visually the mesh looks good. If I spool it down on a surface it spins and flips over...which seems to me to be from the main rotor not being allowed to free spin.

I'd love to help, but your descriptions are a bit vague. I don't understand what a 'dampener on the swash for one of the ball links' is. With your vibration description, I wonder if you mean the weight at the end of the flybar of the upper rotor?

Your description is further complicated with the second problem, that the main shaft gear is very tight. That's vague, too. With a counter-rotating helo, you basically have 2 main shafts. You have the lower rotor running on the outer shaft, and the upper rotor on the inner shaft. Both should spin freely.

I know it can be tough to describe a problem sometimes, but whatever clarification you can give would help. It's tough to troubleshoot on the internet.

Make sure that the gear on the bottom of the main shaft is
pushed ALL the way up against the frame. There should be
absolutely NO slop. If there is, that's your problem.

Push it back on tight. Hole your fingers on the top of the rotor
head and your thumbs on either side of the gear and squeeze.

You should hear it pop back into place. This is a common problem
if you have any kind of hard landing or crash. It keeps a bunch of
other parts from breaking.

Another thing you could check is the feathering shaft to see if it is
bent. This can cause vibrations too. To check this, just take the blades
off and put the little phillips screwdriver in the end of the shaft and turn it
and see if there is ANY movement in the blade grips. If they wiggle,, your shaft
is bent and needs to be replaced.

Hope one of these helps you. That is a fine little heli when it is working right.

Helicopters don't really fly.......
They're just so ugly, that the earth repels them.

Most likely the main gear has slipped and the main shaft moves up and down. Happens on about every "landing" that isn't on the skids! Exact same symptoms. Carry a 3/16 nut driver to push the gear onto the shaft while holding the top of the shaft with you finger.
