Default Summer afternoon flying lesson (full scale)

Took the 172 up again today and used my Go Pro Hero 2 to get some video. It cut off about 45 minutes into the flight so I did not get the landings which is a bummer. I still need a lot of work there and was hoping to be able to watch the video and learn. Oh well, not bad for the first try with my Go Pro.

Still wondering why it cut off though.

Looked like fun Bill! I miss taking lessons, but that was many many moons ago. Since then I've only been up a few times in a civvie. Last time was a few years ago when I went up with a friend of my sis-in-laws from church. He had a Piper Arrow and let me taxi from the apron out to the runway. Then he did the run ups and let me taxi in position and take off, and I was PIC for about 30 minutes.

We popped down to Coolidge where they have a fly-in breakfast every 1st Saturday of the month. Pilots from all over come in to eat and chat. You even see a lot of WWII era stuff.

After breakfast we flew back to the field and dropped off two guys that had gone with us, then he and I went back out for some messing around for about an hour. Good times!
