I have a T-28 and the canopy is very flimsy plastic any ideas on how i can make it more rigid?

No reason too - it just adds weight. Your not landing inverted are you?

You can insert a bent aircraft plywood "bow" in the indent for the canopy frame

2 layers of 1/64 ply bent into the frame area. Glue the first in with RC56 canopy glue. then glue the second in with yellow wood glue.

Make patterns from paper to ensure a good fit... so you don't waste plywood.

Weight added is very small. If you think your canopy is weak, go ahead and do it.

One sheet (12 in X 24 in) of this plywood will come in handy for other projects too.

Thanks for the ideas and yes i am doing a sliding canopy actually a dual sliding canopy. The stock canopy is really thin and flimsy.

The thin ply will give something to glue the sliding mechanism onto.

Might want to have one layer of the ply follow the framework along the canopy bottom edges too.
