Dihedral Query

Hi all
Hope I'm in the right section for this query.
I am currently converting a free flight I.C. plane to a 4 channel electric. The model is a 1200mm span Bristol Monoplane. There are many little issues to overcome( all part of the fun) but my main concern is the dihedral. The plan shows 35mm dihedral under each wing. No doubt ideal for freeflight but as the conversion will have ailerons, I am thinking I could remove the dihedral completely and have a flat wing.
Any thoughts suggestions on this would be greatly appreciated

OK ... lets dispel a bit about dihedral and ailerons. Adding ailerons and then removing dihedral totally is not a good idea unless you are into full aerobatics. Leaving some dihedral in even though you have ailerons is a benefit to stability in fact ... it also aids your turns etc.
I know plenty people who have converted old time models and generally they have removed 1/2 to 3/4 of the original dihedral when adding ailerons .....
The old saying - if it looks right - it probably is right ..... applies here.
